Supportive Group Therapy for Shared Growth

In our small group therapy sessions, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences, hear from others, and gain new perspectives in a supportive and structured environment.

Our groups are designed to help participants build practical coping skills, strengthen communication, increase confidence, and work toward meaningful personal goals.

Group therapy provides a safe, confidential space to develop new skills, strengthen connections, and discover that you are not alone in the challenges you are facing. Through shared experiences and guided discussion, participants can support one another while working toward lasting growth and meaningful change.

Practical Tools for Better Mental Health

Our group therapy sessions focus on topics such as managing stress, anxiety, depression, panic disorder, substance use, and other mental health concerns. Depending on the group, participants may also build social skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges such as anger or low self-esteem. Many groups include practical exercises and role-playing to build confidence in real-life situations.

We incorporate evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and real-world exposure, to help participants develop practical skills that extend beyond the therapy setting.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Group therapy is a collaborative process that involves sharing experiences and learning alongside others in a safe and supportive environment. Groups may focus on concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, emotional regulation, and personal growth. While discussing difficult experiences can sometimes evoke strong emotions, group therapy can also foster new perspectives, practical coping skills, stronger interpersonal connections, and lasting personal growth.

  • All communication during group therapy is confidential and protected under applicable U.S. privacy laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Information will not be disclosed without your written permission except where required by law, such as situations involving imminent risk of harm, suspected abuse or neglect, court orders, or other legal obligations.

Because group therapy involves multiple participants, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed by the practice. Participants are expected to:

    • Keep information shared during sessions confidential.

    • Treat fellow group members with respect and without judgment.

    • Help maintain a safe and supportive group environment.

    • Avoid discussing other participants outside of group sessions.

    • Discuss any planned contact with other group members outside of sessions with the facilitator when appropriate.

  • No. Recording group therapy sessions, including audio, video, screenshots, or any other form of recording, is not permitted.

  • Consistent attendance is important because each session builds upon previous discussions and experiences. Active participation helps both you and the group benefit from the therapeutic process. Repeated absences or inconsistent participation may affect your ability to continue in the group.

  • Group therapy sessions are reserved in advance, and your registration holds a place in the group. Payment for the program is required regardless of attendance. No refunds or credits are provided for missed sessions or withdrawal after registration.

  • If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please let us know as soon as possible. Because each group reserves your place and builds on previous sessions, missed sessions cannot be refunded, credited, or rescheduled.

  • Coverage varies by insurance provider and plan. If we are in network with your insurance, group therapy may be covered depending on your benefits. If you are using out of network benefits or paying privately, we can provide documentation, such as a superbill when appropriate, to assist with reimbursement. We recommend verifying your mental health benefits with your insurance provider before beginning treatment.

  • Group therapy may be beneficial for individuals seeking support with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, relationships, confidence, social skills, or personal growth. If you are unsure whether group therapy is the right fit, we are happy to discuss your goals and help determine the most appropriate option.

  • Registration is required, and spaces are limited to help maintain a supportive group environment. A $200 deposit is required to reserve your place and will be applied toward your program fees. If you have questions about the available groups or would like help selecting the best fit, please contact us.
